Machias Hardware Co. is a family owned and operated hardware store
incorporated in 1951. We are located in the town of Machias, Maine. Machias is
a small town (2,500 pop.) on the coast of Maine about 50 miles from the Canadian
border. We are an old time hardware store. We still maintain the old oiled
wood floors that have been here since the 1940's. We carry many items that are not
available in modern hardware stores today, items like hand water pumps, hand operated
bread dough mixers, grain mills, Aladdin kerosene lamps, etc.
Recently we have added a natural foods section with bulk herbs and spices, grains, herb
capsules, and many organic products. We also carry Robinson Ransbottom Pottery -
mixing bowls, crocks, etc.
